Experience

Rebecca joined the Flex Monitoring Team in 2023. Rebecca is focused on building healthier communities and supporting CAHs as they commit to improving the wellbeing of their neighbors. At the University of Southern Maine, Rebecca is a Policy Associate I, developing policies and reports, and researching rural health. Rebecca collaborates with teams both locally and nationally to create better health outcomes for those in rural settings.

Prior to her work in rural health, Rebecca worked in emergency medicine as both a provider and an educator. She drew on her experience as a children’s librarian to create equitable access for students wishing to enter medicine and who may have struggled in traditional learning environments. Rebecca also served as an AmeriCorps member at a federally qualified health center, Community Health Center, LLC. Here she was a Medication Assistance Outreach Worker creating harm reduction curriculum, building a consumer advisory board, and designing and hosting forums on the intersectionality of substance use disorders and housing.
