The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted people living in rural areas and highlighted the need to address the underlying systemic problems that contribute to health disparities. The goal of this project is to identify rural-relevant strategies and models that Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) can use to advance health equity in their communities, as well as provide a set of outcome measures for rural health equity work that CAH stakeholders can use to monitor and support health equity improvement.
