As many rural communities become increasingly racially diverse, data-driven strategies to identify and mitigate health disparities both between rural and urban residents as well as within rural communities are key to achieving health equity. This study will describe which data related to health equity are collected by Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), including specific demographic data and data on screening for social needs, to better understand the capacity of CAHs to use this data to inform health equity initiatives in rural communities.
