For several years, the Flex Monitoring Team has discussed plans with the Federal Office for Rural Health Policy (FORHP) on how to move toward a more robust evaluation of the Flex Program. During the past decade, the Flex Monitoring team has undertaken a number of actions to effectively evaluate the Flex Program, including convening a Joint Committee to recommend performance measures, providing input in the construction of program guidance for core Flex Program activity areas, as well as through supporting State Flex Programs (SFPs) with a logic modeling toolkit to assist in program planning, implementation, and outcome measurement. Through this project, the team will build on previous planning develop a plan for evaluation projects going forward as well as specific data sources that can be used or created for Flex Program evaluation in the future.
