This project will gather and analyze nationally standardized information related to Critical Access Hospital (CAH) quality improvement (QI). The information collected will focus on CAH QI infrastructure and processes, quality initiatives, data tracking, and quality reporting. The results of this study will support CAHs by providing state and national comparison data, State Flex Programs by informing their work with CAHs, and the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy by helping to inform the future of the Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Program (MBQIP) and associated national technical assistance and data analytic needs.
